SOUTH PACIFIC (2008)

Rogers and Hammerstein's world-famous musical was brought to vivid life by a cast performing at the peak of their powers.

Songs such as Happy Talk, Bali Ha'i and Some Enchanted Evening were sung beautifully, leading the audiences to clap and sing along at the tops of their voices. These set pieces were spectacular, but the quiter moments were also a revelation, as the cast won all our hearts with their polished acting performances.

This show had something for everyone. Romance, action, comedy, great choreography, Elvis songs and men in grass skirts and bikinis. And the dinghy! You really had to see the dinghy!

Middlesbrough Theatre was sold out for both performances of this ambitious, energetic Earthbeat extravaganza.
